Imlil is situated approximately 64 km south of Marrakesh and can be accessed via road through the scenic foothills of the High Atlas Mountains. As the endpoint of the paved road, Imlil is an excellent base for engaging mountain guides and renting mules for advanced trekking endeavors. It provides a superb foundation for trekking holidays or ascents of Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa (4167m).
On Saturdays, visitors have the opportunity to experience the Asni Berber market, ascend to the Kasbah, and explore nearby trails that offer stunning vistas of the Riraya valley. At this elevation, one can truly immerse in the authentic Berber culture. Upon your arrival in Imlil, your guide and muleteer will be waiting to commence your hiking or mule riding journey through the picturesque High Atlas Mountain village of Aremd.
